What is SAMSUNG FREE?
Samsung Free is Samsung's answer to the growing popularity of Google Discover. The company used Flipboard back in the TouchWiz days, but now it's reverting to its in-house solution with Samsung Free.
Samsung Free includes live TV channels, news integration, and Samsung Play for installing games directly from the home screen. Swipe right from the home screen and you can access all three from a single menu.
Why you should disable SAMSUNG FREE
There are many reasons why Samsung Free may annoy you and end up disabling the function on your phone.
- The live TV streaming feature is only available in select countries around the world. Depending on your current location, you may not find it useful.
- Samsung Free's news section doesn't hold a candle to Google Discover's superior and highly effective news algorithms.
- Samsung Play is just another push to entice consumers to download partner apps and games on their phone.
- Samsung Free's current performance leaves much to be desired. Loading times are longer than we'd prefer.
- Samsung doesn't appear to be using any artificial intelligence to display news articles. You may be left with irrelevant news suggestions.
Samsung Free is mostly useful when your area has a good amount of live TV support and you're using a Samsung TV to stream content. It's easy to start casting from your Samsung phone to your Samsung TV.
Disable SAMSUNG FREE on SAMSUNG phones
Now that you have enough reasons to turn off Samsung Free, here are the steps to disable it.
Step 1: Open your Samsung phone and go to the screen Samsung One UI Main.
Step 2: Long press on the home screen and swipe right.
Step 3: You have the option to turn off Samsung Free.

Trade in your SAMSUNG for free using GOOGLE DISCOVER
with Update One UI 3.1 Samsung offers users the option to switch from Samsung Free to Google Discover.
Step 1: Unlock your Samsung phone and go to the Samsung One UI home screen.
Step 2: Long press on the home screen and swipe right.
Step 3: Locate Google Discover And return to the home screen.
That's it. You'll see the Google Discover menu instead of Samsung Free on your Samsung Galaxy phone from now on.
Option available Switch from Samsung Free to Google Discover Only on Galaxy phones running One UI 3.1 or later. So if your current Galaxy phone has updated from an older One UI version to One UI 3.1, you won't have the same option as shown in the screenshots above.

Use third-party Android launchers
Google Play Store is full ofThird-party Android players Which provides Google Discover integration.
Some popular launchers include Nova Launcher and Action Launcher. Using them, you can ditch Samsung Free and replace it with the Google Discover menu.
We've used Nova Launcher here because it's more popular than its competitor.
First, you need to download Nova Launcher from the Play Store and install it.
Now go to APKMirror and download the Nova Google Now Companion app. It's necessary to enable the Google Discover menu within Nova launcher. Go to Nova launcher's settings menu and enable Google Discover to switch from the Google Discover menu.
You're all set to enjoy Google Discover with all the goodies from Nova on your Galaxy phone.
Remove Samsung for free from Samsung phones
There's no direct way to delete or completely remove Samsung Free from Galaxy phones. You can only disable it or replace the current setting with Google Discover. Whether you prefer Samsung Free or not, the fact that you can disable it should put you at ease.
