Thanks to Spotify's easy-to-use desktop and mobile apps, you can create your own playlists and share them with anyone. Besides sharing a shareable link in your playlist, you can also embed it on your blog or website.

Before creating a playlist, you first need to make sure you have Spotify on your mobile or desktop, And create a Spotify account. You can link your Spotify account to your Facebook account to see what your friends are listening to. In the future, You can unlink your Spotify and Facebook accounts.

Create a playlist on the Spotify desktop app
Step 1: Open your Spotify app. At the top of the left taskbar, you'll find helpful navigation buttons. In this guide, we'll use the Create Playlist button.
Step 2: The app will take you to a new tab to start adding songs to your playlist. Use the search bar to find your songs by typing the name or artist (shown with an arrow).
Step 3: Once you have all the songs you want in your playlist, you may want to rename your playlist to something more appealing before sharing. Highlight your playlist and right-click (or click with two fingers using a trackpad).
Click “Rename” and change the name of your playlist to whatever makes you happy.
Share your new playlist from the Spotify Desktop app
Now that our new playlist is created and renamed, we can share our masterpiece.
Step 1: Find your playlist in the left toolbar and right-click (double-click on the trackpad) to access the drop-down menu. Scroll down to the Share tab.
Spotify will give you two options:
- Copy playlist link: This will copy the direct link to your playlist. You can paste this link anywhere, and anyone who clicks your link will be sent to your music.
- Embed playlist: This option will open a new window for you to customize the appearance of your playlist on your web page. You'll be able to see all the songs in your playlist, adjust the color and size of the playback widget, and view the code.
Create a playlist on the Spotify app for iPhone
Step 1: Open your Spotify app. Tap the Search button at the bottom of the screen and search for the songs you want to add to your new playlist.
Step 2: Find the song you want in the suggested list, click the ellipsis (…) to the right of the song. This will open a new window.
Step 3: Click Add to Playlist. A new window will appear for you to create a new playlist or add to an existing playlist.
Keep adding songs to your playlist to your heart's content.
Step 4: After adding songs, you can change the name of your playlist. Click the Library button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Find your playlist in your library and click it.
Step 5: When your playlist opens, tap the ellipsis (…) in the middle of the screen. You can edit your song name and album cover (change name), and add a description to your playlist.
When you're finished editing, click the Save button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Share your playlist from the Spotify app on iPhone
QR codes
There are several ways to share your new playlist on Spotify. One of the newest features is through new QR codes.
Step 1: Find the playlist you want to share in your library and tap it. In the middle of the screen, tap the ellipsis (…).
Step 2: Your playlist options will open, and at the top, you'll see your playlist's album art. Below it is the Spotify logo and some speakers—that's your QR code! You can take a screenshot or show it to your friends to scan.
Sharing links
If you want to send your playlist to your friends or post a link online, you can do that from your phone as well.
Step 1: Find the playlist you want to share in your library and tap it. In the middle of the screen, tap the ellipsis (…)
Step 2: Your playlist option will open, and from there, scroll down the panel. You'll see a Share button. Click it.
