For Microsoft Outlook users, there are two different features that allow you to retract emails—Recall and Undo Send. Whether you have the Recall or Undo Send feature depends on whether you're using the Outlook desktop app or Outlook for the web. Additionally, there are some key differences between these two features.

Although introduced with a similar intent, the Recal and Undo Send features work differently in Microsoft Outlook.

This feature is only available in the Outlook app. When used in the Outlook app, the success of email recall depends on whether you and the email recipient have a Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Exchange account in the same organization. There are several other reasons why this feature may not work, including:
- If the recipient has already opened the email.

- If the email isn't sent to the Outlook address, it won't work if the recipient uses Gmail or another email system.
Cancel Send Function
There is no "Recall" feature in Outlook for the web. The alternative is the Undo Send feature. This feature allows you to delay an outgoing email by 10 seconds. During this time, you can decide whether to edit or cancel the email. It's very similar to what you have in Gmail. This feature has very similar limitations to the Recall feature in Outlook for desktop.

Using the recovery feature on Outlook for desktop

If you want to replace the message, Outlook will redirect you to a window to create a replacement email.
Step 9: After determining your preferences You can choose Select Outlook option To inform you if the recall is successful or unsuccessful.
Step 10: Click "OK" To save your selection.
When you recall an email message, Outlook usually notifies the recipient.
Using the UNDO SEND feature on Outlook for Web
If you access your email in Microsoft Outlook on the web, you won't have access to the recovery feature. However, you can use the "Undo Send" feature within 10 seconds of pressing the "Send" button. Here's how it works:
Step 1: Open Browser And log in to Outlook for the web.
Step 2: Click gear icon Top right of the page to open Settings menu.
Step 3: Scroll down in the Settings list and click “View all Outlook settings” to launch a pop-up window.
Step 4: Click Email address In the right pane, click Create and reply.
Step 5: Scroll down the list to Unsend option.
Step 6: set Slider To determine the time you need to call Email messages.
Note: The maximum email recall interval on Outlook is 10 seconds.
Step 7: Click save And go back to Outlook Home Page Your own.
The steps above are unique and are intended to guide you through setting up the Undo Send feature in your Outlook.
