As mentioned earlier, the Registry Editor contains configuration settings and system files for the entire system. If this is your first time playing with the Registry Editor, it's best to back up the registry. This is because editing the wrong entry can break your Windows system or render it unusable.
To backup the registry editor, follow the steps below,
Step 1: Open Registry Editor In Windows, right-click on Computer. Then, select Export.
Step 2: Name the file and save it somewhere where you can easily access it.
If you plan to change a few things at once, make a backup copy of the file. Alternatively, you can also make a backup copy of the Registry Editor.
How to Resize Taskbar Icons in Windows 11
You'll need to work with the Registry Editor until Microsoft adds a direct option to resize taskbar icons.
Step 1: Open menu START YOUR , and search for Registry EditorAlternatively, you can press the key. Win + R And type the following command,

In the folder path, paste the following path,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\
This will highlight the Advanced folder on the left panel, as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 2: Right click on the Advanced folder and select New Value. DWORD (32-bit).
Rename the folder as “TaskbarIf".
Step 3: Next, right-click on the value and select Modification. Change the value data to 0. That's all.
Now, all you have to do is Restart PC/Laptop, you will be greeted with a small taskbar with small icons.
If you're not satisfied with the new changes, you can always revert back to the original appearance. To do this, open the folder again and change the value data to 1. Once done, perform a quick reboot of your laptop/PC.
The opposite is also true. You can also increase the size of the taskbar and its icons. To do this, modify and update the data value to 2.
From now on, you can adjust the size of the taskbar to your liking. Simply change the data value. Since the folder has already been created, you don't have to worry about creating the folder and its likes.
