Use the Messages app on your iPhone to share your live location.
Apple Maps is the default navigation app for the iPhone, and Apple has integrated it into the Messages app. Therefore, the first way to share your live location using the Messages app on your iPhone is through the built-in Apple Maps feature.
Step 1: Open Application Messages on your iPhone.
Step 2: Select the contact you want to share your live location with. You can also tap the New Message icon in the upper-right corner and select a contact.
Step 3: Click on Contact Name Yours at the top.
Step 4: Click on Share my current location.
Your iPhone will share your current location with your contact through the Messages app. When your contact taps your current location box, the Apple Maps app will open.
How to share live location for a specific time
You can also choose to share your live location using the Messages app on your iPhone for a specific period of time. Here's how.
Step 1: Open Messages app on your iPhone.

So you need to check if Google Maps is enabled as an iMessage app on your iPhone.
Step 1: Open Messages app on your iPhone.
Step 2: Locate Contact person You want to share your live location with her.
Step 3: Swipe right on Application List Top of the keyboard and click on More.
Step 4: Click on Release in the upper left corner.
Step 5: Scroll down and tap switch next to Google Maps To enable it as an iMessage app.
Step 6: Click on Done In the upper left corner to confirm.
