While turning on dark mode can benefit your eyes, your device's battery life, and even your sleep cycle, sometimes it's a matter of preference. Additionally, having one app in light mode while your entire system uses dark mode may not be the best look. So, keep reading to learn how to turn on Slack Dark Mode on any device.
1. Enable dark mode on the SLACK smartphone app
If you're an Android user, you can use the Settings menu in the Slack app to enable dark mode. However, iPhone users must enable dark mode from their device's Settings menu. Here's a step-by-step look at how to do this on both devices.
I. Using the Slack Android app
Step 1: Open an app Slack on your Android device.
Step 2: Click on You are in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Click on preferences.
Step 4: Here, click on Dark mode.
Step 5: Locate employment.
Tip: If you want to use your system theme, select the Default System option.
This will ensure that the Slack Android app switches to dark mode. Additionally, if you're an iPhone user and your device is running iOS 12 or later, you can use this option to enable dark mode on Slack.
However, other iPhone users will need to enable Dark Mode using their iPhone's system settings. Read on to learn how.
II. Using your iPhone's Settings menu
Step 1: Open an app Settings on your iPhone.
Step 2: Then press Display and brightness.
Step 3: Click on darkness
This will immediately enable system-wide dark mode on your iPhone. It will also switch Slack to dark mode.
2. Change slow mode to dark mode on web browser
If you're using Slack on your web browser, you can use the options available on the Slack website to turn on dark mode. Or, if you're using Chrome, you can use Chrome's experimental Flags feature to turn on Slack in dark mode. Follow the steps below to do so.
I. Using Slack
Step 1: Open Slack On any web browser.
Step 2: Next, click on the icon. personal file in the top panel.
Step 3: Here, select preferences.
II. Using Chrome flags
Step 1: Click research, And type Google Chrome, and open Chrome from the search results.
Step 3: Go to the search bar and type “Auto Dark Mode”.
Step 4: Once the sign appears Automatic dark mode for web content, click on the drop-down menu in front of it.

3. Turn on dark mode for the SLACK desktop app
If you're a Windows or macOS user, you can use the exclusive Slack app. Once you're done, switch it to dark mode using the steps below.
Note: The steps for changing Slack to dark mode are similar for Mac and Windows PC. For clarity, we're using Windows, but you can also follow along on Mac.
Step 1: Go to search and type Slack. Then open an app Slack Windows from the search results.
Note: If you're a Mac user, press Command + Spacebar together to launch Spotlight Search, type Slack, and open it.
Step 3: Then click on preferences.
Step 5: then select dark.
This will ensure that the Slack Windows or Mac app switches to dark mode. Additionally, you can also select the option “Sync with operating system settings” To change Slack to Dark Mode as long as it is enabled for your Mac or Windows PC.
