Many Android users are complaining that Spotify It doesn't work on their phone's lock screen. Ideally, when listening to songs on Spotify with your phone's screen locked, you should be able to see a lock screen widget with some details—album art, song title, artist, and playback control buttons.
From observation, it appears that the problem isn't specific to phone models but can occur on any smartphone. This can be frustrating because most people like to listen to music while doing other things like exercising, traveling, and other activities. Therefore, unlocking the phone to interact with an app seems to be a challenge. Spotify boring
Let's take a look at some possible solutions.

Some readers suggest that logging out and then logging back in helped resolve this issue. Afterward, they were able to see the Spotify widget on their smartphone's lock screen. To log out, tap the Settings icon in the top right and scroll down to find the Log Out option.
Then you can log in with your email ID or account. FacebookUse the same method you tried the first time so you don't end up creating a new account instead. Check if you can see the Spotify music widget on your lock screen now and if the controls are working.
2. Notification settings
Every app you install on your Android smartphone comes with its own set of notification settings that determine what happens when the phone is locked. Let's take a look at the notification settings. Spotify.
Open Settings, then tap Notification & status bar. Make sure that the Show notification icons and Show on screen options are turned off. Otherwise, you won't see notifications or shortcuts for any app on the lock screen. Tap App notifications.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen to find Spotify—the list is always in alphabetical order. Unlike the previous section, notification settings are specific to the specific app—in this case, Spotify. Make sure Show notifications and App icon badge are toggled on.
There are two remaining settings in the image above. The first is Playback, which will allow you to control your music on the lock screen. Tap to unlock it and make sure the Show Notifications option is toggled on. The other settings on this screen are optional. 3. Turn off power saving mode
Power saving mode is a useful feature until it disrupts the way an app works. Power saving mode keeps apps in check and prevents them from unnecessarily consuming resources such as the CPU, GPS, and battery when they're not actively being used or when the phone is locked. They can often act like overprotection, causing apps to malfunction.
To check, open Settings and tap Battery & performance. Again, your smartphone may have slightly different settings (it may be called Battery optimization instead) depending on your make and model. Tap Choose apps to configure individual app settings.
Either search for Spotify or swipe to open it. Tap it to open. Tap "No restrictions" to prevent your smartphone from blocking Spotify from running properly in the background when the phone is locked.

Tap Force Stop to stop any activity running behind the screen. Tap Clear Data and select Clear All Data. This should remove all temporary files and folders from your phone.
Finally, tap "Uninstall" on the same screen to remove Spotify from your smartphone. Return to the Play Store and reinstall Spotify. See if you can now see the Spotify music widget on your lock screen.

The good thing about Android is that it's infinitely customizable. This means there's an app out there that can manage and customize your lock screen. Some of our users have had success with this method. We've already covered three lock screen apps for Android, so check them out. There are plenty more on the Play Store, too.
Enjoy Spotify without any problems.
Spotify is one of the best music streaming apps out there. I love it because it makes it easy to keep up with other people's curated playlists. While most of the time it works well out of the box, there are times when the app and system settings conflict.
