How to add contacts in Gmail
There's not much to add contacts to Gmail; it's a pretty straightforward process. Depending on your device, the steps may vary. Let's start with the desktop steps.
Note: You only need to perform the method on one device, and all devices connected to the same Gmail account will be automatically synced.
on the desktop
Step 1: Open gmail In your favorite web browser on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.
Step 2: tap on dotted rectangle icon (Google Apps) next to your profile picture.
Step 3: From the media, choose ContactsIf the contact is not available in the form, scroll down to find it.
You will be redirected to a new browser tab to view your current Gmail contact list.
Step 4: In Google Contacts, tap Create a contact from the right part.
Step 5: Choose from two options, i.e. Create a contact Or Create multiple contacts.
Tip: If you have multiple contacts you want to add at once, select "Create Multiple Contacts." If not, continue creating a new contact.
Step 6: Now, enter the details, Such as first name, last name, etc., of the contact you want to add.
Step 7: Finally, click on "save" To create a new contact.
That's it. A snack bar will appear confirming that you've created a new contact, which will be added to your Gmail account.
On Android
It's common for OEMs to offer their own contacts app that syncs with Gmail. You can stick with what you already have or follow the instructions below if you don't.
Step 1: Launch an app gmail On your Android device. Once launched, tap Three horizontal lines icon in the upper left corner.
Step 2: Scroll under the Google Apps section and tap Contacts.
Note: If the Contacts app is not installed on your device, you must download it.
Download the Google Contacts app
This will launch the Contacts app. If you don't want to install any apps, use the default Contacts app on your device and assign the new contact to your Gmail account.
Step 3: Press the plus button (+) Floating in the Contacts app. Make sure you've entered the correct email address and contact details such as first and last name, etc.
Step 4: Once you have entered the details, click on save In the top navigation bar.
On iOS
Step 1: First, launch the Contacts app on your iPhone. In the Contacts app, tap Lists in the upper left corner.
Step 2: Select the account to which you want to add new contacts from the list of accounts. We select the option All GmailBut you can choose your preferred account.
Step 3: You will be taken to the contacts list under All GmailNow, press the plus button. (+) in the upper right corner.
Step 4: In the new contact form, enter all the details, Such as the first name, last name, phone number, etc., of the new contact.
Step 5: Once finished, click on Done in the upper right corner.

How to add a contact from a received email message
Have you ever received an email from someone and wanted to add them as a contact later? You don't have to follow the lengthy steps above. Instead, follow the steps below.
Note: The steps are similar across different devices running the Gmail app, but we'll be using an Android device for demonstration purposes.
Step 1: Open an app gmail On your device, go to the email from the person you want to add to your contacts.
Step 2: Once you open the email, click on profile pictureFrom the bottom sheet, tap the icon. Add to contacts In the right corner.
Note: If you're using the web version, hover over the person's profile picture.
Step 3: Gmail will retrieve all the details, such as your name and email address. Make the necessary changes, then click save.

How to edit or delete your Gmail contacts
Gmail contact details can be reviewed, changed, or deleted fairly easily. It's important to note that once you change or delete a contact, it will no longer exist (unless you remove it from the trash) in your Google Account. Because contacts are linked and synced globally, you can't keep the contact on one device while removing it from another.

on the desktop
Step 1: Launch your favorite browser on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer. Go to Google Contacts, and log in with your credentials.
Step 2: Choose Contact which you want to update or delete from the list and click on it.
Note: You can go directly to the Edit section by hovering over the contact details and clicking the pencil tool (Edit Contact).
Step 3: Locate Release In the upper right corner of the contact details.
Step 4: Now, change or add the details you want and click on save In the upper right corner to apply the changes.
If you want to delete or remove a contact, follow the steps below.
Step 5: tap on three dots icon In the upper right corner of the contact page.
Step 6: Locate delete from the dropdown menu.
Step 7: In the pop-up window “Delete from contacts”, Choose Move to trash.
There you go. You've edited or deleted the contact based on your preferences. If you don't have access to your computer and want to do the same using Android, read on.
On Android
Step 1: Open an app Contacts On your device. Go to the contact you want to update or remove and tap it.
Step 2: In Contact Information, tap pencil button (Edit Contact) in the top navigation bar.
Step 3: On screen Edit contact, make changes, and then click save To send new information.
If you want to delete the contact for some reason, follow the steps below.
Step 4: Click on three-dot icon In the upper right corner, from the drop-down menu, choose delete.
Step 5: Locate “Move to trash” To remove the contact in the pop-up window.
That's it. The contact you selected is now gone from your Gmail account.
On iOS
If you sync all your Google contacts to your iPhone, you can use the Apple Contacts app on your iPhone to update or remove a contact from your Gmail account. Follow these instructions.
Step 1: Open an app Contacts On your iPhone or iPad, go to Menus from the top left corner.
