There are multiple ways to share a PDF file from your iPhone and Mac. The Files app is the default app for opening PDF files. But with new software updates for iPhone (iOS 17) and Mac (macOS Sonoma), you can now open and annotate PDF files in the Apple Notes app. In this post, we'll share the steps for annotating PDF files in the Apple Notes app on your iPhone and Mac. How to Add Annotations to PDFs on iPhone

Here's how to open and annotate PDF files in the Notes app on your iPhone.
Step 1: Open an app Files on your iPhone.
Step 2: Long press PDF file icon And press Copied.
Step 3: Close the files and open the application Notes on your iPhone.
Step 4: Open your note and long press To paste Your PDF file.

Step 2: Click on the icon Arrow next to your PDF file name.
Step 3: Locate Quick look.

How to Add Annotations to PDF Files on Mac
Just like on your iPhone, you can annotate your PDF using the Notes app on your Mac. If there's something you want to highlight in a PDF document, you can annotate it using the Notes app. Here's how.
Step 1: Select the file icon. PDF and press the keyboard shortcut Command + C To copy it.
Step 2: Press the keyboard shortcut Command + Space bar To open Spotlight Search, And type Notes, Then press Return.
Step 3: Open your note and press the keyboard shortcut. Command + V To paste the file.
Step 4: After attaching your PDF file to the note, click the icon. Arrow next to your PDF file name.

Step 7: After adding annotations, click Done In the upper right corner to save it.
