We've all been there. Just as you're about to send a query to your manager or colleague on Slack, you see that the person is inactive. At this point, you kind of wonder if you should bother them with your silly inquiries. This happens to me most of the time.

Whenever I think about asking someone a series of questions on Slack, the Away status makes me question myself. Should I really bother her/him?
The reverse scenario also applies. Slack will often set your status to Away if you remain inactive for too long, even if it's open in a browser tab on your computer.
Sometimes, this feature can be a relief because it gives me the focus I need. But it can also backfire because it doesn't show the whole scenario—that you're actually working, even if it appears otherwise.
Slack sets your status to Away if you remain inactive for a long time.
In teams where communication is key, something as simple as status is crucial. So, if you're looking for ways to keep Slack active while you work, you're in luck. Yes, there is a way to keep Slack always active. In this post, we'll show you how.
Disclaimer: Setting your online status even when you're not working or available may be considered unethical. Guiding Tech's sole purpose in this article is to illustrate a real-world scenario, where Slack shows you're online when you're working and available, not otherwise.
How to keep Slack always active on your browser
The way we will explore is through a tool. It's called Slack Off. It's a simple tool that works with old Slack icons. But what are Slack icons?
In the old days when Slack didn't have app integrations, legacy tokens were used to make Web API calls.

Since then, applications have replaced this integration method. However, some tools still require the integration of these tokens, and SlackOff is one of them.
Note: You will need to exercise the same level of caution.
Now that we've defined what Slack icons are, let's see how to use the SlackOff app.
How to use SlackOFF
Step 1: Open Location And participate in this the service By clicking on the try it button.

Here, the email ID you signed up with doesn't have to be the one you use to log in to Slack.
اFor step 2: After logging in, click Add Team, which will redirect you to the Add Team page. Slack. Here you need to add the token.

Remember to keep your Slack account signed in when trying the step above.
Step 3: In a page Slack Legacy Code Generator Scroll down until you see your workspace and username.

From now on, you'll always appear online, and the green light will illuminate while you're doing your daily work. In fact, SlackOff will show you that you're online even when you're actually inactive, which is the only drawback of the free version of Slack Off.
So, before you sign out for the day, remember to set your Away status. The next time you load or refresh Slack, it will prompt you for a new status. All you have to do is keep it active, and that's it.

This limitation is removed if you upgrade to the paid version of SlackOff. The paid version, which costs $1.99 per month, comes with a neat option for scheduling your appointments.
Fortunately, you can give the demo (requires credit card information) a chance before you invest.
So, if you only work freelance on specific days, you can adjust your schedule accordingly.

To set your schedule, click on your workspace name within Slack and adjust the timing to your preference, then press the Save button.
If, for some reason, you feel you can do without the activity at all times, simply delete the team.
Privacy issues?
The creators of SlackOff claim they don't share any information publicly or with third parties. However, in the long run, if you stop using SlackOff, be sure to revoke your token. Note that Slack automatically revokes old tokens if they haven't been used for a long time.
What about Android and iPhone?
While I've searched extensively for a dedicated solution for Android and iPhone devices, I haven't been able to find any at the time of writing. One solution is to keep SlackOff running in a browser on your computer.
Also, since the old Slack code page is accessible via desktop, you can also enable the desktop version via Chrome for Android.
Remove pollution
So that's how you can match Slack's availability to your own. Do you like it this way? Or would you rather continue working without distractions?
