1. Change the search engine manually

Step 1: Open Google Chrome on your desktop.
Step 2: Select the three dots menu at the top.
Step 3: Go to settings.

Step 3: Select On startup from the left sidebar.
Step 4: Click Open a specific page or set of pages from a list on startup.
Step 5: Type in your Google search address and close the tab.

3. Disable Yahoo-related add-ons
With hundreds of extensions at your disposal, it's easy to overwhelm your Chrome browser with dozens of add-ons. Unfortunately, some of these may be outdated, unmaintained, or incompatible with the latest versions of Chromium.
