Be Screenshots It's handy when you want to capture a portion of a webpage, show off a phone setting, etc. Samsung offers four different ways to take a screenshot on Galaxy phones. These distinct methods may be useful to you in various situations.

Samsung's One UI customization for Android phones aims to deliver a smooth, lag-free experience. There are more features to perform the same action. It's up to users to choose a trick to accomplish the task.
1. Combine the use of buttons
This is one of the easiest and universally accepted ways to take a screenshot on a Galaxy phone.
Hold down the volume down button and the power button at the same time, and the system will take a screenshot.
Within a few seconds, you'll see a live preview of the image at the bottom for sharing, editing, or adding a tag to the screenshot.
Unfortunately, there's no way to delete a screenshot directly from the options below. You'll need to open the screenshot and tap the delete icon to move it to the Recycle Bin.
2. Use the Edge panel
Originally designed for the Edge series of phones to take advantage of the curved display, the Edge panel turned out to be a hit with consumers.
Samsung has implemented the Edge Panel across its Galaxy portfolio, inspired by success stories. The feature is also available on phones with flat screens.
The standard method above takes a screenshot of the entire display. But what if you want to capture just a portion of it? You can always crop the screenshot, but it's another step in the equation.
Alternatively, you can set up the Edge Panel and use it to capture a portion of the screen. Here's what you need to do.
Step 1: Open Settings on your Samsung Galaxy phone.
Step 2: Go to the View menu and open the Edge Panel.

Step 3: Enable edge panel toggle.
To enable the screenshot function in the Edge panel, you need to turn on Smart Selection in it.
Step 4: From the same menu, go to Panels.

Step 5: Enable Smart Select and other panels from the menu. You can also import Edge panels from the Galaxy Store.

Use the four corners to adjust the capture area. Tap Done, and a menu will appear to edit, share, or save the screenshot. Tap the Save button to save the screenshot to your gallery.

You also have an option to extract text from the screenshot.
We prefer using this option over the original method. It offers more control over the screenshot area, the ability to extract text, and doesn't automatically save the screenshot to the Samsung Gallery.
Those who use the S-Pen will have a better time using the Edge panel to take a screenshot. You can use the S-Pen to capture precise screenshots on the go.
3. Ask Google Assistant
If you're having issues with the volume or power buttons and find it inconvenient to use the Edge panel, you can always ask Google Assistant to do the job.
On most Android phones, you can long-press the power button, but since Samsung remapped it to the Bixby assistant, you can't use it.
You need to use gestures from any side of the corner and launch Google Assistant on your Galaxy phone.

Say, "Take a screenshot," and Assistant will take the screenshot and open the share menu. You can share the screenshot directly to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, save it to Drive, and more. You won't get these editing options.
4. Ask BIXBY ASSISTANT
Although Bixby isn't as capable as Google Assistant, it does have a couple of tricks up its sleeve for Samsung users. For example, Bixby Actions It's a killer add-on for creating complete automations on your phone. The assistant also understands frequently used commands. One such command is the ability to take a screenshot.

Long press the power button and launch Bixby. Say "Take a screenshot," and Bixby will capture the current screen.
Screen capture on Samsung phones
