How to Create a Discord Server
Before you can set up and use Hydra, you must have full access to your Discord server. The best way to gain unrestricted access to your Discord server is to create your own by following the steps below.
- turn on Discord And log in to your account.
- Click plural symbol (+) In the top left of the Discord home screen, you can add a new server. You can also press the keyboard shortcut Discord Control + Shift + N To open a pop-up window or join a new server.
- A pop-up window will ask what type of server you want to create. Choose whatever server type you prefer or select from the available templates for a game server, school club server, or study group server.
- After selecting your server type, you'll be asked for details about the participants in your server. It's okay to skip this.
- In the next pop-up window, you can customize the server name and icon. After doing so, click "construction".
- You'll be taken to your new Discord server. At this point, you can add members, customize your server, or send your first message.

How to Invite Hydra Music Bot to Your Discord Server
After creating and customizing your Discord server and adding members, you can invite the Hydra bot to your Discord server. Follow these steps to add Hydra to your server:
- Go to Hydra website.
- Click "invitation" On the home page to begin the process of adding Hydra bot to your Discord server.
- You'll be directed to the Discord login page. Enter your username and password to continue.
- After logging in, Hydra will ask you to choose the server you want to add the music bot to. Select your server from the drop-down menu, then click "Continue".
- Click "to delegate" To move to the next step.
- Answer and pass the test CAPTCHA.
- You'll be redirected to the Hydra web dashboard. You can return to the Discord app to check if the music bot has been added to your server.
How to Set Up Hydra Music Bot in Discord
After inviting the Hydra bot to your Discord server, follow these steps to set it up so you can start listening to music on your server:
- Go to any text channel, such as #general , And type .setup , And press Enter.
- When you enter the .setup command, the music bot will create a new text channel dedicated to song requests and controlling the Hydra music bot.
- The new channel should be #hydra-song-request.
- Once you've created your new Hydra text channel, join any voice channel on your server.
- Once you're in a voice channel, go to the Hydra bot text channel (#hydra-song-request) to start requesting songs.
How to Request Songs in a Discord Server
Now that you've set up the Hydra bot on your Discord server, you can start listening to music on Discord while on the same voice channel as other server members. Follow the steps below to make song requests and control the music bot:
- Go to the hydra text channel (#hydra-song-request), and type “play. artist name song title” In the message field, then tap Enter To request a song.
- When you request a song, its album cover will appear, along with music actions, such as play, pause, replay, etc.
- You can also add a song to the queue by typing the request command (Song name Artist name) and pressing Enter.
- A queue will appear if you request more songs after your first request.

Hydra Music Bot Commands
- To play or pause a song, tap the play or pause button below the album art. You can also type .pause Or play and press Enter.
- To skip the currently playing song, tap Skip button Or write “.skip” And press Enter.
- To stop and clear the song request queue, click Stop button Or write “.stop” And press Enter.
- If you want to repeat songs in the queue, click Restart button Or write “.loop” And press Enter. Type “.loop” And press Enter To disable repeating a song or queue.
Note: Clicking the repeat button once will repeat the entire queue. Clicking it twice will repeat only the currently playing song. Clicking it three times will turn off the repeat command. - If you want to shuffle the queue, click the shuffle button or type “.shuffle” And press Enter. Type “.shuffle” And press Enter To disable queue shuffling.

How to Set Up Hydra React Roles in Your Discord Server
Reaction Roles is an additional feature in Hydra in addition to the main music bot feature. It allows you to create and assign roles to members of your Discord server. Follow these steps to set up and use roles:
How to Create Discord Server Roles
Follow the instructions below to set up roles in your Discord so you can set it up with Hydra bot.
- turn on Discord.
- In the top right of the server screen, click the server name, and then click Server Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Locate "Roles" From the menu on the left, click on "Create a role"Edit the newly created role by clicking on pencil icon.
- in the tab "Display" Type the role name and select Role color.
- Go to the tab Permissions To change the general server permissions for the role you created. You can also leave them as is.
- Repeat the process for additional server roles. Make each one distinct, using different role names, colors, and permissions.
How to set up Hydra interaction roles
Now that your Discord server has roles, you can set it up with Hydra React roles by following these steps:
- Go back to your Hydra web dashboard and go to the tab "Interaction roles".
- In a field "Preparation" , type any name, like "Reaction roles" Or Button roles.
- Select the text channel where you want to place your Hydra React roles. You can create a new text channel on your Discord server dedicated to React roles and name it #role for ease of use.
- From the drop-down menu "Type" , Locate "normal".
- Go to section “options” and click Add option.
- Click "button" Set an emoji to represent your reaction roles. Use the same name for the roles you created in your Discord server. When finished, click Add an action.
- In the pop-up window, select Add a role.
- Select a role you created in your Discord server from the drop-down menu. "Define a role."
- Select a role Discord server which you want to associate with this interaction role. Click "to be sure".
- Do the same process for other interaction roles you want to associate with Discord server roles.
- Click the button "save" to apply the changes.
- Go back to your Discord server and check to see if Hydra sent a message on the Reaction Roles text channel. If not, delete all the options you created in Hydra's Reaction Roles web dashboard and start over.
How to Use Hydra Interaction Roles in a Discord Server
Now that you've set up interaction roles on your Hydra bot in Discord, you and your server members can use them. Follow the steps below to create roles:
- Go to your server's text channel to learn about Hydra's reaction roles.
- Your server members can now choose from the roles you've created by clicking the buttons below the Hydra's Reaction Roles message. Selecting a role will also change the text color.
