This article explains how to pin items such as documents and applications to the taskbar in operating systems. Windows 10 and 8/8.1 and 7.
How to pin documents to the taskbar
To pin a document or application to the taskbar, follow the instructions below.
- Locate The application Drag it to the taskbar. To pin a document to an app shortcut, Taskbar , Locate File Drag it to the relevant program icon.
- A small hint will indicate that the item will be installed in the application you selected. So, if you want to Install Excel document , drag it to Excel icon on the taskbar.
- Now right click on Program Code In the taskbar, search for Fixed section in Jump list.
- Once installed, you can access your favorite files directly from your desktop.
Now, organize
All that's left to do is sort through the documents on your desktop. Don't pin a program to your taskbar for every possible document you need to sort. Instead, find the programs you need that are the most common or most important (depending on the types of documents you have). Then, sort each file into an appropriate folder on your system before pinning your essential files to their respective programs on your taskbar.
If you don't sort your files first, your desktop will remain as cluttered as ever. You'll just have to find a better way to access them.
Once you've cleared your desktop, keep it that way. It may seem easier to just empty everything on your desktop, but this quickly becomes confusing. The best solution is to move all your various downloaded files into appropriate folders on your system. Then, at the end of each week (or every day, if you have the bandwidth), empty anything on your desktop into the Recycle Bin.
