2. Use the Recover Favorites feature.

3. Restore an older version of the Favorites folder
Although the chance is slim, there is a possibility that you may not be able to recover deleted bookmarks in Edge using the Recover Favorites feature, especially if your Edge bookmarks disappeared after updating to a newer version of Edge.
Fortunately, there's an easy way to recover it on Windows; here's how.
Step 1: Open File Explorer and go to this computer.
Step 2: Here, go to C:\Users\UserName.
Step 3: Find a folder Favorites from the list.
Step 4: Right click on the folder and click Show more options.
Step 5: Locate Restore previous version.
Once you're done, restart Edge and check if your favorites are back—hopefully, they are. You can now export your favorites, refresh Edge again, and import your favorites to ensure you haven't lost anything.
Note: Don't worry about duplicate favorites. Edge has a great tool for handling that, too. Open Edge → Favorites → the three-dot icon → select Remove duplicate favorites → Remove to confirm.
4. Manually restore an old bookmark backup
Note: This is a bit technical and may cause Edge to malfunction later. Therefore, make sure to turn on your Microsoft account sync if you need to reinstall the browser.
Before proceeding, make sure that hidden files are enabled. To do this, open File Explorer → View (from the top bar) → Show → Hidden items.
Step 1: Open File Explorer → This PC → C drive → Users → Your username.
Step 2: Next, tap AppData → Local → Microsoft → Edge.
Step 4: Scroll down to find the file named Bookmarks and Bookmarks.msbak.
- Rename the file named Bookmarks to something else, such as Old Bookmarks.
- Rename the file named Bookmarks.msbak as Bookmarks ← Click Yes to confirm the action.
Step 6: Now close Microsoft Edge And restart it again.
We hope your bookmarks or favorites have been restored from the backup, and you have recovered your lost favorites.
5. Import Favorites from Internet Explorer
While the above method focuses on recovering recently deleted bookmarks, there is also a way to restore favorites you may have left behind in your older browsers, such as Internet Explorer.
