The ability to hide the same from select annoying contacts was missing. The company has finally caught up with the competition and allows users to hide their last online status. 
If some curious contacts ask you about your late night presence on WhatsApp You can always remove them from your contact list and stop sharing your last seen status. However, this isn't a perfect solution. Instead, you can use the steps below to hide last seen from specific contacts on WhatsApp.
What happens when you hide your last seen from specific contacts on WhatsApp?
The only way to prevent people from seeing your online time is to choose different Last Seen At options. You can choose to hide from all contacts or select contacts. However, if you choose to hide from everyone, no one will be able to see your last online time on WhatsApp, even if they aren't on your contact list.
One of the key things WhatsApp does is that if you hide your Last Seen At status, you can't view the same for your contacts. However, you can only view each other's online status when you're both online, without any timestamp attached. Hiding your Last Seen status doesn't affect any other features of WhatsApp. Your contacts can view your WhatsApp status and WhatsApp stories, and they can also make a voice/video call or send you a text message directly. To prevent people from harassing you about the time you were online, you can also block them and they will not be able to see your last seen status, WhatsApp status, call you or text you on WhatsApp.
WHATSAPP FOR IPHONE
WhatsApp for iPhone has an option to hide last seen from specific contacts buried deep in the Settings menu. Follow the steps below to make changes.
Step 1: Open WhatsApp app on the iPhone.
Step 2: Click on Settings gear in the lower right corner.
Step 3: Locate Account List.
Step 4: Click on Privacy.
Step 5: Select Last Seen. You will see four options there:
- everyone: Share your last seen status with everyone (even those not on your contact list). We strongly recommend avoiding this option for your privacy.
- My contacts: Most users go with this option. Your last seen will be shared with only your contacts.
- My contacts except: Hide last seen from specific contacts.
- no one: No one can see your last seen status.
Step 6: Click on private contacts B except.
Step 7: Will be opened contact list On WhatsApp.
Step 8: Click on radio button Next to the contacts you want to hide your last seen from.
Step 9: Click on Done button In the upper right corner, select Contacts can't see your last seen on WhatsApp.
After that, none of your contacts will be able to see your last seen status. The flip side of this setting is that you won't be able to see their last seen status either.

WHATSAPP FOR ANDROID DEVICES
The WhatsApp for Android app offers a different interface compared to the official app for iPhone. The settings are located differently, but the option names remain the same. Follow the steps below to make changes.
Step 1: Open WhatsApp app on Android.
Step 2: Click on Three-dot menu in the upper right corner.
Step 3: Open Settings menu.
Step 4: Click on the account.
Step 5: Locate Privacy.
Step 6: Click on Last seen.
Step 7: You will notice Four familiar options To choose from (those we discussed above).
Step 8: Click on radio button Beside my contacts except.
Step 9: Locate Contacts From the following list (the one you want to hide your last seen from).
Step 10: Click on check mark in the lower right corner.
