After more than a year of travel restrictions, the world is slowly reopening to international travel. With this, those who have been denied the opportunity to explore new parts of the world—or revisit their favorite destinations—are looking for affordable flight deals.

Gone are the days when you had to call a travel agent or go directly to an airline's website to get the best deals. Now, you can do it all from the convenience of the device in your pocket.
Without further ado, here are the six best flight booking apps for your iPhone.
1.Skyscanner
Skyscanner is a favorite among travelers, and it's not hard to see why. The app's interface is clean and easy to use, and you'll also get a variety of options to filter your search.

When using Skyscanner, you can decide whether you want to fly direct or with two connecting flights. You can also choose which airlines you want to fly with and whether you want to add additional cities to your flight.

To help you better understand travel restrictions, the Skyscanner app features an interactive map. You'll first see a world overview of the country you're traveling from; tapping on this and typing in the country or region you'd like to visit will give you a more detailed overview.
2. momondo
momondo is a flight booking service that originated in Copenhagen, Denmark, but has since expanded globally. As with Skyscanner, you can choose whether you want to travel between two locations or add more cities.

When filtering your searches on Momondo, you can choose which banking method you use to find the lowest additional fees. Furthermore, you can specify whether you are flexible with dates and which websites your search will cover.

For transparency, momondo also lets you see which countries you can travel to—and what restrictions apply to face masks and restaurants. You'll find this feature on your app's homepage.
3. KIWI.COM
Kiwi's flight booking app is simple and lets you search for flights around the world. Like the other options here, you can select your preferred airlines and the number of bags you're traveling with.
When using Kiwi, you can also choose to exclude countries you don't prefer to change – along with your budget and the transportation method you'd like to choose.

If you need accommodation and transportation upon arrival, you can also use Kiwi to search for car rentals and hotel rooms.
4. Omio
Omio isn't just a flight booking app, but it still lets you explore your options. On the homepage, simply enter your starting and ending points, along with the dates you'd like to travel.

When using Omio, you can filter flights based on price range and the time of day you wish to travel. Additionally, you can choose how many stops you want to include and whether you want to prioritize the fastest flight.

Once you've booked your flight, you can add your tickets to the app so they're always at your fingertips. Besides plane tickets, you'll also find bus and train tickets.
5. SKIING
KAYAK is somewhat similar to Momondo in design. Within the app, you'll be able to see an overview of the countries you can and can't travel to; tapping "View All" will take you to a world map overview.

When booking flights, you can see the likely cost of your flight based on whether the dates you select are green, yellow, or red. You can also filter by airline, airport, flight quality, and more.

Once you've searched for a flight, you can also check the cheapest travel times to your destination; you'll see an option for this above the flights listed in your search.
Bonus option: Google Flights
Google Flights doesn't have an app for iOS or Android, but its website is mobile-optimized—and it's worth mentioning on this list.

On the Google Flights website, you'll see whether you're allowed to visit the area you've searched for due to COVID-19 restrictions. Additionally, you can get an overview of the average prices for your flight.
In the tabs next to Google Flights, you can also explore your destination further before you travel. You'll see the best food, attractions, and more.
Find the best flight deals from your iPhone
Finding the best budget flights is much easier than it used to be, and there are plenty of iPhone apps to help you with your journey. Many have taken the pandemic into account and will show you where you can and can't travel before you book anything.
These apps don't vary much, so try them all and see which one suits you best. Remember, though, to check travel restrictions before spending any money.
